Technical Analysis [Securities] Law and Legal Definition
Technical analysis is an approach to forecasting commodity prices. It examines patterns of price change, rates of change, and changes in volume of trading and open interest, without regard to underlying fundamental market factors. By technical analysis securities are evaluated by relying on the assumption that market data, such as charts of price, volume, and open interest, can help predict future market trends.
