Technical Surveillance Countermeasures Law and Legal Definition
According to 32 CFR 149.3 [Title 32 National Defense; Subtitle A Department of Defense; Chapter I Office of the Secretary of Defense; Subchapter D Personnel, Military and Civilian; Part 249 Policy on Technical Surveillance Countermeasures], Technical Surveillance Countermeasures (TSCM) means techniques and measures to detect and nullify a wide variety of technologies that are used to obtain unauthorized access to classified national security information, restricted data, and/or sensitive but unclassified information.
