Tempus Utile Law and Legal Definition
Tempus utile means an advantageous period of time. It begins to run from a certain event, when the person for whom it runs has obtained knowledge of the event. Once the time begins to run, those days on which one cannot prosecute his/her rights before a court are not reckoned. The period does not run against a person absent in a foreign country or detained by stress of weather.
