Territorial Airspace of the United States Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 19 CFR 122.49b [Title 19 -- Customs Duties Chapter I -- U.S. Customs And Border Protection, Department Of Homeland Security; Department Of The Treasury], the term Territorial Airspace of the United States means the airspace over the United States, its territories, and possessions, and the airspace over the territorial waters between the United States coast and 12 nautical miles from the coast. Territorial airspace of the United States means “the airspace over the United States, its territories, and possessions, and the airspace over the territorial waters between the United States coast and 12 nautical miles from the coast.”
