Tobacco Grademark Law and Legal Definition
According to 7 CFR 29.1023 (Title 7, Agriculture; Subtitle B, Regulations Of The Department Of Agriculture; Chapter I, Agricultural Marketing Service H1 (Standards, Inspections, Marketing Practices), Department Of Agriculture; Subchapter A, Commodity Standards And Standard Container Regulations; Part 29, Tobacco Inspection; Subpart C, Standards Official Standard Grades For Flue-Cured Tobacco (U.S. Types 11, 12, 13, 14 and Foreign Type 92); Definitions), the term “Tobacco Grademark” means “A grademark normally consists of three symbols which indicate group, quality, and color. A letter is used to indicate group, a number to indicate quality, and a letter or letters to indicate color. For example, B3F means Leaf, good quality, orange color.”(7 CFR 29.1023) )
