Trafficking in Persons Card Law and Legal Definition
Trafficking in Persons (TIP) Card is a plastic human trafficking indicator card developed by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). It is wallet-sized, and is available in 17 languages. The card highlights the differences between human smuggling and human trafficking. It also identifies key signals for recognizing a trafficking victim. Therefore, it helps in distinguishing between the crimes of human trafficking and human smuggling.
The TIP cards are circulated as part of the blue campaigns. They are also distributed during presentations and training offered worldwide. One may get a TIP card by contacting the local ICE office or by visiting the ICE.
