Transfer in Contemplation of Death Law and Legal Definition
Transfer in contemplation of death refers to the giving of property owned by a person who is under the belief that he is about to die or has some terminal illness. Such a giving may be cancelled when the giver recovers from such terminal illness or evades death. An example of this process is “gift causa mortis”
