Transit passage refers to right of a vessel or airplane. This right helps in exercising freedom of navigation and over flight. It is governed under international law. This right is granted for the purpose of continuous and expeditious transit between one part of the high seas or an exclusive economic zone. It is also known as right of transit passage.
