Transitional Rehabilitation Services Law and Legal Definition
According to 34 CFR 376.4 (d) (2) [Title 34 – Education; Subtitle B -- Regulations of the Offices of the Department of Education; Chapter III -- Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, Department of Education; Part 376 -- Special Projects and Demonstrations for Providing Transitional Rehabilitation Services to Youth with Disabilities; Subpart A – General], the term transitional rehabilitation services means “any vocational rehabilitation services available under the State plan for vocational rehabilitation services under 34 CFR part 361 or the State plan for independent living services under 34 CFR part 365 and may also include --
(i) Jobs search assistance;
(ii) On-the-job training;
(iii) Job development, including work-site modification and use of advanced learning technology for skills training; and
(iv) Follow-up services for individuals placed in employment.”
