Transportation and Storage Costs Law and Legal Definition
Transportation and storage cost is a moving expense deduction associated to the costs of a taxpayer's transfer. The taxpayer can claim deduction to the expenses of moving household belongings such as furniture, household articles, vehicles, pets and personal belongings to his/her new destination. The storage cost of the taxpayer's possessions during the moving process is deductible for the first 30 days. The transportation and storage costs are reported on Form 3903.
