Turbary Law and Legal Definition
Turbary is an ancient right to cut turf. This right is provided to people for using the turf as fuel. Turfs were used for domestic and commercial purposes as fuel. Mostly turbary is associated as a right to take turf from another person’s land. This right can be exercised only in accordance to public policy. The landowner should not be put to unnecessary harm when a person exercises turbury rights.
