Type A Family Day-Care Home Law and Legal Definition
Type A Family Day-Care Home is a permanent residence of the administrator in which child care or publicly funded child care is provided for seven to twelve children at one time. It also includes a permanent residence of the administrator in which child care is provided for four to twelve children at one time if four or more children at one time are less than two years of age. Any child under six years of age who is related to a licensee, administrator, or employee and who is on the premises of the type A home will be counted. Type A family day-care home does not include any child day camp.[ORC Ann. 5104.01]
Administrator is the person responsible for the daily operation of a center or type A home.
