Zero-Bedroom Dwelling [HUD] Law and Legal Definition
Pursuant to 24 CFR 35.86 [Title 24 Housing and Urban Development; Subtitle A Office of the Secretary, Department of Housing and Urban Development; Part 35 Lead-Based Paint Poisoning Prevention in Certain Residential Structures; Subpart A Disclosure of Known Lead-Based Paint Hazards upon Sale or Lease of Residential Property], the term Zero-Bedroom Dwelling means “any residential dwelling in which the living area is not separated from the sleeping area. The term includes efficiencies, studio apartments, dormitory housing, military barracks, and rentals of individual rooms in residential dwellings.”
