Zygocephalum Law and Legal Definition
Zygocephalum is a Greek term which refers to the method of measuring the land. It means the amount that can be plowed by a yoke of oxen in one day. In other words, it means a measure of land comparable to the area that can be plowed in one day. Zygocephalum eventually gave way to the current system of "metes and bounds," which uses property's physical features to determine its boundaries.
